Channing Tatum announces Magic Mike Live premiere Down Under

news Dec 04, 2019

Yesterday, Hollywood hottie Channing Tatum revealed that Magic Mike Live will be touring Australia next year. The announcement was made at an exclusive gathering in Melbourne's Plaza Ballroom. This hot and heavy live production will premiere at Melbourne’s Birrarung Marr in 2020, followed by seasons in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

With a cast of 15 talented international male dancers, all sporting rock-hard abs, Magic Mike Live is set to be one mind-blowing and lavish stage production. Not afraid to push boundaries, the show won’t take place in a traditional theatre; instead, guests will enter The Arcadia, a luxurious, custom-built, two-storey tent that provides a 360-degree immersive live entertainment experience.

"I never dreamed of having a circus tent full of strippers... but I guess it’s now one of my dreams" –  Channing Tatum

Based on the highly successful films Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL, this global smash hit was a sellout in London and Las Vegas, and a Berlin show is also in the works. Magic Mike Live aims to shine new light on the sexy subculture of male entertainment that Tatum himself was a part of, before transforming into the Hollywood star we adore today.

"For about nine months in Tampa I was an actual stripper. Then I became an actor. I always knew I wanted to tell the story of this weird, strange subculture." –  Channing Tatum

It's a live dance and acrobatic extravaganza offering a completely different experience to the film – you can expect the performers to go into the audience and dance in front of you. So strap in and get ready for a night out you will never forget.
